Update 17/06/2010: the resolution of the upper screen is in fact 800 x 240 pixels, giving a resolution of 400 x 240 pixels for each eye in 3D mode.
Nintendo has just unveiled its forthcoming handheld console at E3, the 3DS.
As expected, you don't need to use glasses for the 3D screen (top: 3.5", 800 x 240 pixels, or 400 pixels across per eye) and there's a small 2D touchscreen (base: 3", 320 x 240 pixels).
The new gyro stick on the left is placed beside the arrow pad. Wi-Fi will be improved and, last point, backwards compatibility with DS and DSi games is guaranteed.
