Our new update of the TV product surveys marks the entry of the long awaited Philips 56PFL9954H in 21/9. It is accompanied by another Philips, an LG and a Samsung.

  • Philips 56PFL9954H : a UFO flying among LCD TVs. With its 21/9 format that breaks with the standard 16/9 screens, it offers new possibilities for home cinema enthusiasts; it also causes confusion among customers not used to all these different formats. This test will also be an opportunity for us to review the main video ratios.
  • Philips 42PFL8404H : a new series that appeared in 2009, the 8000s lie between the 7000s and the 9000s. This 42PFL8404H is not at any disadvantage at the top of the Philips range.
    It exists as a 32, 37, 42 and 47 inch version.
  • LG 50PS6000 : a plasma TV. Remember that this technology, although not well adapted to use with PCs or games consols because of risks of marking, is an excellent alternative to the LCD screen when it comes to watching TV because of the value for money it gives.
  • Samsung PS50B550 : another plasma TV that allies image size with economy; two good reasons for producing it.

Product survey: 40’’ to 49’’ TVs
