At the WWDC Keynote last week, Apple unveiled an updated and expanded range of MacBook Pros. The laptops include a new battery capable of lasting for up to seven hours.Claims like this should always be treated with caution, especially as independent tests sometimes find it hard to duplicate such excellent performances in real life.
In this case, though, the team at Laptopmag found the laptop that they were testing did even better, managing to last up to eight hours with WiFi turned on and average office use and web browsing. That's the longest battery life for a similar laptop and long enough for you to work all day without needing to recharge.
Note: this is not the same test procedure that we use for our own laptop tests.
