It's all the rage. To understand the magic and avoid any catastrophic meltdown of the Web 2.0 bubble, it is advisable to determine the value of the various sites.The excellent TechCrunch already carried out an evaluation last year, so an update was in order. Here it is. Taking account of the latest user figures and the most recent capital raised by the various sites, here is the Web 2.0 classification.
- In first place is Facebook with a new valuation of 10 billion dollars, benefitting from the arrival of a recent new Russian group as well as its amazing increase in users.
- MySpace remains in second place as in spite of Facebook’s emergence the News Corp network remains a major player: 6.53 billion.
- In third position, Bebo is showing itself to be a worthwhile challenger in the Web 2.0 race, valued by TechCrunch at 1.82 billion dollars.
- Lastly Twitter, the current wonderboy, but at the foot of the podium with a valuation of 1.67 billion.
