Lenovo does Yoga

One could call this Lenovo's version of Sony's Vaio P except that this pocket PC is actually a concept that was developed about two years ago.

It fits into a pocket, is covered with leather, and opens like a wallet, but do not be mistaken, it is indeed a mini-computer. It can do anything a netbook can, has a full keyboard and the belt that surrounds it can be removed and used as a mouse!

The touchscreen can be flipped over 360-degrees in order to become a tablet notebook. In this mode the user can read, draw with the special pen, or browse the web.

According to Johnson Li, Director of Lenovo's Beijing Inovation Center, "this pocket-sized PC was developed about two years ago, well before the current netbook craze and the introduction of a similar form factor by one of our competitors".

However the "Pocket Yoga" is only a concept and is not likely to go into production.

Given the current success of netbooks, one can suppose that future products developed by Lenovo's design teams could incorporate some of these swanky features. Let us only hope the performance of their product will be better than that of the Vaio P.
