Although only the Japanese press are officially in the loop for the time being, Nintendo yesterday unveiled the next version of its portable games console, the DS.
The new DSi's two screens are now bigger, and its camera will be replaced with a 3 Megapixel model capable of recording video at 640 x 480 resolution.

There are some other improvements, too:
- The onboard speakers have been improved to give a better experience for people who don't use headphones while they're playing. Nintendo are also hoping that this will give a boost to people who use their DS for language learning, which is an incredibly popular application.
- An SD card reader will allow easy access to files and transfer between your DSi, your Wii and your home computer.
- There's also an Internet browser which will allow players to download games online straight onto their device
