Panasonic, Sony and Samsung don't plan on releasing any new TVs for the end of 2009, so we'll have to wait until next year to see these manufacturers' new models.
Unlike Philips and LG who have recently announced some new models, Panasonic, Sony and Samsung seem to be tightening their belts at the end of the year. Panasonic and Samsung, are though expanding some of their pre-existing models to new sizes to maximise choice.
For its part, Sony did announce a new 5800 series at the IFA in Berlin, which could have been a replacement for the current 5500 series. These 'new' models, though, are just the same Z5500, W5500 and V5500 that we already know with the addition of satellite tuners. It's such a minor update that it won't even be on sale in all European markets.
For the time being, then, the three manufacturer's flagship products will remain on their pedestal until the new year:

That leaves Sharp and Toshiba, of course, but both are relatively minor players compared to the five big manufacturers we mentioned above. Nevertheless, we hope to be able to test some of their models soon.
