Two multimedia drives to add to our survey. On the menu, a small model that comes with an HDMI out and an SDHC card reader, and an original digital recording device. The Memup MediaGate HD is very small. It works on the same principle as the Western Digital WD TV: there is no hard drive in the case. You link up your external hard drive, USB key or memory card to view content.
The Emtec Movie Cube P800 is delivered in two pieces: a multimedia base on which you attach the external hard drive. Beyond that, it’s a recording device with a Freeview (digital terrestrial) tuner. What HD video, music and image formats can it handle? What formats aren’t supported? Read on to find out!
