Test HP dv6-1225ef and dv7-2160efIt's a big day for HP this Friday, with two of the manufacturer's multimedia laptops on test: the HP Pavillion dv6-1225ef and the dv7-2160ef.  Photos, videos, gaming, and of course, plain old office work--which one of them will be able to it better?  Will the bigger dv7 make use of its 17.3'' screen, or will the slightly smaller dv6 win out with its 15.6'' screen?

Both laptops come from the same HP range.  The Pavillion laptops are described by HP as being 'multimedia solutions for your digital life'--laptops that can do just about anything you'd want to be able to do with a computer.

The HP Pavillion dv6-1225ef is a rather standard laptop, with a 16:9 screen in a frame that's large enough to carry around easily.  The processor is an AMD dual-core model, and it works alongside a dedicated graphics card.

The HP Pavillion dv7-2160ef also as a 16:9 screen, but at 17.3'', you're less likely to want to carry it around all day, but it's still relatively mobile.  This one has an Intel processor, running at almost the same speed as the AMD that powers the dv6--but the difference in performance is wider than you'd think.
