"Microsoft Excel cannot open the file. You may need to download the latest updates for Office for Mac. Do you want to visit the MS website for more info?" A bit frustrating when you’re trying to open an Excel file!
This type of message was sometimes displayed on the screens of users of MS Office for Mac, version 12.2.0, when trying to open Word, Excel or PowerPoint files, as well as models or macros of the same software. This has now been corrected with version 12.2.1, available for download from the Microsoft site or via automatic updates (the update weighs in at 24 MB).
Presentation of the problem and the corrective download
