Our two mobiles today are both Nokia semi-smartphones aimed at business users.
For most people, a 'pro' phone is something like a Blackberry: almost as bulky as their PDA predecessors with a full-sized physical keyboard. The E55 tackles that stereotype with a hybrid keyboard where every key has two letters, while its near-relation the E52 has most of the same features but with a traditional numeric keypad.

LG and Samsung demo prototype see-through AMOLED screens

Imagine a pane of glass on your desk--plug it in and suddenly it shows your Windows desktop. LG and Samsung have both revealed prototypes of transparent screens that do just that at the FPD trade show in Yokohama, Japan, which focuses on display technology. To do it, they've both used AMOLED technology.
As you can see from these photos, the panels themselves are transparent. That's possible because every pixel is an individual source of light, meaning there's no need for backlighting. Instead of sitting in an opaque frame, they allow 30% of the light to pass, meaning you can see straight through them.
Some lucky visitors had the chance to try out some of these transparent AMOLED displays. First up was LG's 15'' screen, which seems perfect for laptops.

Right now, we don't know anything about when they're likely to be available in consumer products, but transparent AMOLED is certainly a technology to keep your eye on ..

The second, from Samsung, seems like it would be more at home in mobiles or MP3 players as it only measures 2'', giving a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels with brightness ranging from 100 to 300 cd/m².

Right now, we don't know anything about when they're likely to be available in consumer products, but transparent AMOLED is certainly a technology to keep your eye on ..

You can see how the two manufacturers are placing themselves if you take a look at today’s four products. The Edifier M1335 comes in at just below the £50 mark – this is what you’d pay for low-end 2.0 speakers! The much more handsome M3200 are only £69.99!
The Altec Lansing expressionist PLUS (FX 3021) and expressionist ULTRA (MX 6021) cost a good deal more; between 2 and 4 times as much as the Edifiers!
Are they 2 to 4 times better?
