New Test: Samsung NV100HD Camera

Samsung's new digital compact camera, the NV100HD, certainly has an attractive specification.A 5x optical zoom is complemented by both optical and digital image stabilization, while on the back there's a 3'' touchscreen LCD.
It's also part of a new generation of compacts that can record video in High Definition, working at the 'HD Ready' 720p standard.
With so many features, the Korean manufacturer need have no fear taking on the big boys in this field, Panasonic and Canon.

Here At Last: Bravia V4500 In Our Labs

It's here at last! After a lot of pestering on our part, Sony has finally sent us a V4500 from its Bravia series.The full test will be ready on Friday, but you can sneak a peak at some of its test scores in the Product Face-Off here.
As soon as we publish it, it'll join our Product Survey: 40'' to 49'' TVs, where some other members of the Bravia family, like the W4500 have already scored very highly.
Processors Join Product Face-Offs

We've been beavering away all weekend in our labs to bring you a new set of Product Face-Offs, allowing you to compare processors.
As Régis, our CPU tester writes, "the CPU is the brains of your computer, and the faster it goes, the faster you'll be able to get on with whatever it is you're doing."
To help you choose between the two big manufacturers, AMD and Intel, and dual- and quad-core processors, we've got a thorough series of test results for you to look at:
This particular graph shows performance editing multimedia files: including audio, video and image manipulation, but we also measure a series of other characteristics, including a processor's temperature and noise levels under different conditions.
There are 22 CPUs in this first batch, and their full tests will follow in the next few days ...
