Close-up on two cameras with mini-price tags. The A480 by Canon is the cheapest of the two and is more of a beginner's device while the FS7 by Panasonic is an entry model that sems to have everything a compact should have. Canon’s camera is a model of simplicity: a 115 000 dot display while Panasonic's FZ7 boasts a 230 000 dot display and has optical stabilization.
Do not look for a wide angle zoom on either of these compacts but do enjoy their automatic features!
