We've just added six new digital camcorders to our ongoing Product Survey. Our half-dozen makes for a rather motley crew, and includes HD and SD models, as well those that record onto hard drives, those that stick with flash memory and those that combine the two.
The prices too are fairly a mixed bag from cheap and cheerful to eye-wateringly expensive.

The prices too are fairly a mixed bag from cheap and cheerful to eye-wateringly expensive.
Here's what we've been looking at:
- Canon HF11--an excellent camcorder that's something of an example for its competitors
- Creative Vado--a new pocket camcorder from a manufacturer better known for its other accessories
- JVC Everio GZ-HD40--a slight change of direction when it comes to HD from JVC
- JVC Everio GZ-MS100--this time, JVC is attempting to put simplicity first
- Sony HDR-SR11--a great all-rounder that gives you plenty of choice
- Sony HDR-TG3--a sleek, slimline camcorder
