New Tests: LCDs for Pros

We've recently taken a look at two very high-end monitors aimed at digital imaging pros.

Neither the 24'' LaCie 324 nor the 26'' Nec SpectraView 2690 come cheap, but both are packed with features designed to appeal to those whose jobs rely on accurate color and reliable video.

Both require calibration before you can get the best out of them, but that won't be a mystery for the audience they're aimed at.

In a change from the TN panels we usually test in LCDs, each of these two screens uses a different technology: LaCie has gone for PVA and Nec for IPS.

You'll find both models, as well as a lot more of more affordable options, in our Product Survey: 23'' to 28'' LCDs.
