Before moving on to the new tests for spring 2009 (which are unfortunately not yet available) we have completed tests with models for the end of the 2008/2009 range:
The Philips 32PFL5403D et 5403H, two small 32 inch TVs, one with a standard TNT tuner - the D – and the other with an HD tuner - the H.
- The Samsung series A626 which offers most of the best Samsung functions. It is available in the A616 series, without the HD tuner however. Both are available in 37 and 40 inch versions. The 32 inch version has a different panel with weaker contrast on upper diagonals.
- The Samsung A456 series is designed for those on a low budget with its HD Ready definition. Like most other Samsung TVs, it is available as the A466 series and has a TNT HD tuner. Note also the A455 and A465 that you’ll recognise by their white frames. All these models exist as 32, 37 and 40 inch TVs.
