Scanners are making their first appearance on DigitalVersus today, but the first question is: why would anybody need a standalone scanner now that multifunction printers all offer decent scanning?Well, here are a few reasons:
- to get scans with more accurate colours
- they take up less space
- so you can scan negatives and slides
- to scan at higher resolutions
- because of their advanced document management features--with just one button, you can e-mail a PDF of your scanned document as an attchment
- or because they're easier to use
