Canon, HP, Lexmark and Epson have all refreshed their collections of multifunction inkjet printers with built-in scanners and copiers. We brought a bunch of their bestsellers into our labs to compare prices, speed and quality on the most popular all-in-ones on the market todayThe big move this year seems to be the growing popularity of WiFi, which is more and more common. There still remains a wide gap in performance between the best and the worst of the bunch, though.
We tested the Canon MP620 and MP630, the HP Photosmart C4480, the Kodak ESP-3 and ESP-5 and the Lexmark X4650, and some remarkable discrepancies. Printing the same 4 x 6" photo, for instance, took anywhere between 20 and 85 seconds on different printers.
