We’re looking at some high-end netbooks today. Dell has gone for a high-performance configuration, while Sony is highlighting looks and build quality.

With the market already quite mature, Sony has finally launched itself into the world of netbooks with the Vaio W12 which is a model very much in keeping with the manufacturer’s ethos. The manufacturing quality and aesthetics live up to what we’ve come to expect from the Vaio range and make what is a pretty standard configuration stand out.

Dell has upped its game with the Inspiron 11z that could easily have been placed in the ultra-laptop range. Low pricing means it can however compete in the netbook class, which it does very well thanks to a dual core processor!
