With ever better battery life and nicer designs, netbooks continue their impressive progress. There are several models now out signed by various designers, the Asus Eee PC 1008P bears the Karim Rashid stamp.

Far from the entry-level models we were getting at the beginning of the netbook wave, the Asus Eee PC 1008P Karim Rashid is an "in" product you'd have no hesitation in giving to a close friend. Its unusual design and ease of use make it stand out from the competition.

Asus is quietly renewing its mid-range netbooks with the convincing Eee PC 1005PE. Increased battery life and a good quality matte panel on the programme!

The Packard Bell dot s2 is attractively priced with a good overall spec. A product that gives value for money without neglecting comfort of use.

We also had a look at the Samsung N220. An opportunity to check if it is any different to the N210.
