The Mobile World Congress - from February 14 to 17 - will be the opportunity for mobile phone manufacturers to present their roadmaps for the months to come. Samsung is likely, if previous years are anything to go by, to be announcing several new models, one of which may well be a mini Galaxy S.

According to MobileCrunch, then, Samsung is getting ready to capitalize on the success of the Galaxy S - 10 million sold since launch last summer - by putting a mini version on the market in Android 2.2.

The Galaxy S mini is reported to have a Super AMOLED 3.5-inch screen, a Qualcomm processor clocked at 600 MHz, and a 5 Mpixel photo sensor.

The telephone world's annual jamboree will also see Samsung introducing the Galaxy S 2, with more technical solidity and running on version 2.3 of Android.
