Portable Media Players: Samsung Galaxy S Wi-Fi 4.0, 5.0 and Cowon X7

Portable media players aren't dead yet, as Cowon and Samsung are hoping to prove with their latest pocket music and video devices.

Samsung's new Galaxy S Wi-Fi 4.0 and Galaxy S Wi-Fi 5.0 portable media players are heavily based on the Galaxy S smartphone. The screen and audio quality aren't quite the same as in Samsung's mobile though, as you'll see in our reviews.

The Cowon X7, on the other hand, is a high-capacity portable media player from a brand that's often favoured by fans of top-notch audio.

Note that because we reviewed Cowon's device before the two Samsung models, it hasn't been subjected to the same advanced screen and audio tests you'll see in the more recent reviews.
