It's finally here, the new star of Samsung's family of Android ICS smartphones... The Galaxy S3.

Just look at the specs: an in-house Exynos 4412 quad-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display (1280 x 720), 16 GB of microSD-expandable memory (very nice), 50 GB of free cloud storage for two years on Dropbox, and an 8-Megapixel camera that films in 1080p. Samsung has hit the big time. Chock full of original features, a new-and-improved TouchWiz interface and a 2,100 mAh accumulator (which should give it ample battery life), Samsung says the GS3 outperforms the GS2 and competes single-handed with the latest generation of high-end Android phones.

Is this true? Does the Samsung Galaxy S3 really leave the competition paddling in its wake?
