Samsung has announced a 4G LTE version of its Galaxy S3 smartphone for European markets. The phone will be available exclusively via the Everything Everywhere (Orange and T-Mobile) network in the UK.

Most of the phone's specs are lifted from the standard Galaxy S3, as both models use the same 1.4 GHz dual-core Exynos processor, 4.8" Super AMOLED HD screen (1920 x 720 pixels), NFC chip, 8-Megapixel camera, and both run on Android 4.0 ICS.

However, this handset sees the arrival of 3G/4G LTE (and 3G++ Dual Carrier) connectivity, and has 2 GB of RAM rather than the 1 GB seen in the original Galaxy S3. In the end, this new phone looks a lot like the souped-up version of the Galaxy S3 Samsung launched in the US this summer.

The Galaxy S3 4G LTE handset will be available in titanium grey. It's scheduled to launch in time for use on EE's 4G LTE network, which is due to be up and running in 16 British cities by Christmas.
