Samsung is presenting the new Galaxy Express as a less expensive, more accessible version of the Galaxy S3.

With its 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display (480 x 800 pixels), the Galaxy Express was designed as a scaled-down version of the Galaxy S3. It supports 4G LTE, but is not NFC-compatible.

The Galaxy Express runs on Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and has a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with 8 GB of internal memory (expandable up to 32 GB for a total of 40 GB) and 1 GB of RAM. It has a 5-Megapixel camera with an LED flash.

Samsung hasn't given us the price yet, but it will go on sale in the UK sometime in the first half of 2013.
