The new version of the Google OS will be here soon for all Android smartphones. Following Samsung and Sony, it's over to LG to publish the list of handsets that will be updated in the second quarter of 2012.

LG released the list of handsets on Facebook and the phones that will officially run on the new Google Ice Cream Sandwich operating system as of April 2012 are as follows:

First wave:
  • Prada Phone By LG 3.0
  • Optimus 2X
  • Optimus LTE
  • myTouch Q
  • Eclipse
  • Optimus Sol
A second wave will receive the update in the third quarter (September) of 2012: Without giving precise delivery dates country by country, LG says that it has chosen this schedule to ensure that a smooth switchover.
