Ahead of the IFA 2012 tech show later this week, details of LG's upcoming high-end smartphone have been revealed. Stand back—this high-powered handset is due to run on Qualcomm's first quad-core processor.
The first pictures of the LG Optimus G are now out and about on the web—well, kind of. The photos we spotted on AndroidMx aren't yet official, but they give a pretty good idea of what we can expect from LG's latest top-of-the-range smartphone.
In the race to make the most power-packed mobile, LG is hoping to crush the competition by using Qualcomm's first quad-core processor, the Snapdragon S4 Pro, clocked at 1.5 GHz.
Otherwise, the Optimus G has a 4.7" IPS HD screen (1280 x 768 pixels), a 13-Megapixel camera, 2 GB of RAM, an Adreno 320 GPU and the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
We'll no doubt find out more about this mobile at the IFA tech show (31 August to 5 September). Stay tuned for our coverage live from Berlin.
