Samsung Galaxy S Advance: Coming Soon?

The Samsung Galaxy S range is due to welcome yet another new smartphone, the Galaxy S Advance. This models is a mid-range handset that's less powerful than the Galaxy S II.

While it now seems to be unclear whether Samsung's Galaxy S III will or won't be presented at the World Mobile Congress in February, according to Sammy Hub, one handset that is expected to be outed at the Barcelona trade show is the new Galaxy S Advance.

The Samsung Galaxy S Advance GT I9070 has a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen with 800 x 480 pixels, a 1 GHz dual-core processor (that could be Nvidia's Tegra 2), and runs on Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread) with Samsung's TouchWizz interface. It has a 1500 mAh battery and a 5-Megapixel camera for photos or 720p video.

These tech specs look strangely similar to those of the Galaxy R ...

There's no word of a release date or price yet, and Samsung is still to confirm which countries the phone will (or won't) be available in. However, you can already check out the Galaxy S Advance in action in the video below.
