Motorola is due to release a turbo-charged version of of the Razr smartphone with an atomic battery. This new power-packed model won't be quite as slim as the original Razr, however.
The Razr Maxx will sell alongside the regular Razr but will be loaded with a beefed-up battery that's twice as powerful (3300 mAh compared with 1780 mAh for the standard model)! Needless to say, that should bring a serious boost to battery life!
Unfortunately, fans of the Razr's original design with its slim casing and upper 'overhang' will be disappointed to see that the new battery makes this handset a fair bit bulkier. In fact, the rear face of the Razr Maxx doesn't have the same slimline indent as the skinnier Razr.
The Razr Maxx has a 1.2 GHz dual-core Texas Instruments processor, 1 GB of RAM, the Android 2.3.5 OS, a 4.3-inch qHD screen and an 8-Megapixel camera.
The UK release date is still TBC.
