Japanese firm Ortustech has developed a 9.6-inch "4K" screen with 3840 x 2160 pixels, designed primarily for viewing medical images.

4k 10p

There's little doubt about the fact that it'll one day be possible to make smaller sized Quad-HD TVs—not just the super-sized models currently out there. Sharp is already planning some smaller models, and this 9.6" display for medical imaging further confirms that 4K resolution doesn't automatically go hand in hand with monster screen sizes.

However, the most surprising thing about this screen is that from the look of the tech specs, it seems to use a TN-type LCD panel!
