Greener Packaging But No Software
The good news is that Verbatim's new memory card packaging uses around 90% less plastic than previous generations of products.
The bad news is that Verbatim doesn't include any data recovery software, either on the card, in the box or on the manufacturer's website. You'd therefore better make sure you don't delete any important files by accident!

Verbatim sells two 32 GB SDHC cards. According to their spec sheets, the Verbatim HD Video SDHC 32 GB Class 6 card is designed for camcorders while this standard SDHC 32 GB Class 6 card is for digital cameras. Although both cards are advertised with Class 6 speeds, this distinction could still be a sign that one card is slightly faster than the other. Let's put that theory to the test.
The Same Speed as the HD Video SDHC Card
Although the cards have slightly different names, they're actually identical—only the packaging and the labels change. In our tests, this 32 GB Class 6 SDHC card achieved write speeds of up to 15.7 MBps, which is well above the advertised speed and is certainly sufficient for consumer cameras. We measured read speeds of 23.3 MBps, which means it should take around 4 minutes 20 seconds to copy 4 GB of photos onto the card and 3 minutes to unload the same files. That's nothing mind blowing, but it's perfectly fine for a compact camera.

Although this memory card may come in different packaging to Verbatim's HD Video 32 GB Class 6 SDHC card, the two products are actually identical. This card is therefore ideal for use with a consumer camera but professional photographers would need to look for a card with faster read speeds.
