With this 32 GB microSDHC card PNY aims to extend the storage capacities of smartphones, tablets and other devices with a microSD slot. The Class 10 certification ensures a minimum write speed of 10 MB/s. Up until now, write speed has been the weak point of microSD cards and if this transfer rate is borne out in practice, this card will be one of the fastest in its class. Let’s see what our tests show.

The card does indeed give writes of over 10 MB/s. We measured it at 11.4 MB/s, which makes it among the fastest microSD cards currently available. It gives read speeds of 23 MB/s, which is in line with other models.
Such speeds can be considered as good for a microSD but reamain slow when compared with what you get with SDHC cards, which now achieve reads of 90 MB/s and writes of 80 MB/s.

Pros
- Good read and write speeds: 23 and 11.4 MB/s
- Supplied with SDHC adaptor
Cons
- No software to retrieve lost files
- Slow in comparison to SDHC and SDXC cards
Conclusion
PNY has signed a good microSD card here. With reads of 23 MB/s and writes of 11.4 MB/s, this 32 GB Class 10 card looks as if it will top its class no problem. It is however a good deal slower than SDHC cards.
