A few days ago, we reported that Dvico was close to shutting up shop. DViCO's official French product distributor has been in touch after reading our article with some promising news.

NewCom Distribution, Official distributor of DViCO products in France, contacted us to tell us that: 'Minevox [DViCO's parent company] has decided to sell the DViCO part of its business. The company is part of a large group that's in good shape. However, the group wants to focus on certain activities, and given that it's a well-established group, this needs to be done in the proper way. As it stands, we know from a reliable source that Minevox has received two offers and is hoping to make a final decision before the end of the month. The DViCO brand will therefore live on and after-sales services will continue (we'll assure that, in any case).'

We also received this official letter from the President of Minevox:

Minevox letter

So Minevox is selling off DViCO to a buyer that should continue to develop the brand's products, as well as cover its warranties and after-sales service. In any case, it seems that many official distributors (like NewCom) will continue to take care of after-sales service on behalf of customers. As a result, we've removed the temporary warnings we had added to DViCO media centre reviews.
