Mastercard credit card of the future
Recently unveiled in Singapore, the new-generation MasterCard has a built-in LCD screen and a touch-sensitive keyboard.

This new bank card looks like something straight out of the future. In fact, it's the kind of thing you'd expect to see James Bond flashing around in the face of some super-villain (not bad for a product placement idea). This bank card is like nothing we've ever seen before, with an "on" button, a touch-sensitive keyboard and an LCD screen. This cutting-edge card also boasts upped security thanks to a pin-code system that generates a temporary and unique number required for online purchases.

In the long term, the card should also be able to display transaction information from the user's account. For the time being, there's no word on how this card would be recharged and there's no word on price either.

Standard Chartered Bank Singapore has teamed up with MasterCard to launch the new card, which should be available to its customers from January 2013.
