Low energy consumption: how to choose your LED lights?

LED lights have been on the general consumer market for about 2 years. In the jungle of listed products, it can be handy to know how to sort through the available models according to some simple selection criteria.There's no test in this first article yet. We've focussed our efforts on an overview of LED lights, taking a few key points into consideration: energy consumption, recycling, cooling and lifetime.
We looked at the lights of three manufacturers: Philips, Econergyworld and Xanlite (Stéphane KERLOCH, engineer, and Dan Lussato, Head of Marketing).
