For those of you who didn't know, the keyboard of the moment has got to be the Logitech Illuminated. The only downside for some users, however, is the fact that it's wired. But cable-phobes need fret no longer, as Logitech has just launched a wireless Illuminated keyboard: the K800.

The Logitech K800 isn't just a carbon copy of the original Illuminated though, as Logitech has slightly modified the outer casing and added an advanced backlighting system that adjusts the keys' backlighting in relation to the ambient light and the user's movements. In other words, the backlighting only comes on when your hands are near the keyboard and switches off automatically if no movement is detected for a certain amount of time.

Battery life is announced to be 10 days. Don't worry, that doesn't mean it runs on AA batteries, just that it can be recharged with a USB cable, like the brand's other wireless models. This also means you can keep using the keyboard even if the battery's flat.

Hopefully we'll be testing the K800 when it's released in September. It's currently available to pre-order on the Logitech website and it'll set you back £89.99.
