It's all well and good having a mouse that you can use in wired or wireless mode, recharging it when you plug it in, but the people who've spoken to us found themselves having to do that all too often.
We found ourselves treating the G700 like a smartphone, plugging it in every night just to be sure.
And you need to be careful, because as we've pointed out, that battery life has some nasty consequences: using it with a cable is a lot less smooth and comfortable.
We've added this problem to the list of weaknesses in our review, but for us, this mouse is still worth five stars. We don't think any other current mouse can beat it, and we don't really think this small problem—which is very easily fixed by plugging in the mouse—is worth adjusting the score for.
