As previously announcned, Samsung has had to rename some of its xxxxHD monitors to xxxxMD because the digital tuners they contain don't support High Definition television.
To avoid customer confusion, and meet legal requirements in certain countries, devices which include a digital tuner (even if they are not televisions per se) should not contain 'HD' in their name if the tuner in question isn't actually HD.

There's no such thing as the perfect screen, but this model comes very close for those who need to use a monitor and a television - it's excellent at both.
