We had the impression that the Samsung F2380M was a clone of the F2380, but with a HDMI input.  The tech specs and the model number seem to support that finding, but without any definite information or testing it ourselves, we didn't know for sure.

To avoid giving five stars to a product that we haven't tested, we decided it had to go through our standard battery of monitor tests.  The one we tested didn't come from Samsung's range of products available to the press, but one we went out and bought ourselves.

But will it still be worth five stars?  There's only one way to find out …
