Some Iiyama Prolite B2475HDS owners have reported a problem with the overdrive function in our sister site's reader forum. The overdrive mode helps improve the screen's responsiveness, but some users have found that it switches itself off for no apparent reason after a few seconds in action. We contacted Iiyama about the problem, and the manufacturer is apparently already on the case.

We reviewed the Iiyama ProLite B2475HDS back in September, giving it a five-star write-up for its sturdy design, accurate colour reproduction, good contrast and responsiveness that's sufficient for gaming ... so long as you switch on overdrive!
However, some users are now reporting that the overdrive function shuts down just a few seconds after being activated.
When we called Iiyama, the firm's reps told us they were aware of the problem and that they were already in the process of dealing with it. It seems that a faulty model was delivered yesterday to the firm's engineers in Japan for investigation. Tests have already begun and Iiyama has acknowledged the problem, all the engineers need to do now is find out what's causing it!
Got A Faulty Monitor?
We asked Iiyama what owners of B2475HDS monitors experiencing this problem should do. For the time being users should sit tight, Iiyama says, and as soon as the source of the problem has been identified, a firmware update will be released to put things right. If the issue can't be corrected via the firmware, however, faulty B2475HDS displays will have to be returned and replaced.Patience Please!
Iiyama also made it clear that the firm wouldn't be replacing any faulty B2475HDS monitors just yet, as until the origin of the overdrive problem has been identified, there's a chance that any replacement B2475HDS models dispatched could have exactly the same defect.> Monitor Reviews: 22''-30'' LCD Displays
