For those of you who can't decide between active and passive 3D, the freshly announced LG DX2500 could be just the thing, as this 25-inch monitor promises glasses-free 3D viewing.

Hmmmm, LG announcing a glasses-free 3D monitor ... haven't we been here before? Well yes, back in July LG presented the DX2000—a 20-inch glasses-free 3D monitor with a webcam on top that tracks the user's eye movements to make sure the 3D effect is rendered in the best possible quality in relation to the user's viewing angle.

The DX2500 uses the same system but has a 25-inch screen instead. Like the DX2000, it also comes loaded with a 2D-to-3D conversion function to add an extra dimension to 2D content on the fly. From experience, however, we know that this kind of function can rarely match the quality of native 3D content, but it can help make up for the lack of 3D media out there right now.

That's all we know about this monitor for the time being, as no other tech specs have been released. We do, however, know that it'll go on sale soon in South Korea for around 1.29 million Won (which works out at about £800). The DX2500 and DX2000 should be heading to Europe sometime during 2012.
