The Chromebook marks the arrival of Google in the market for computer operating systems. However, the Chrome OS is like nothing that's ever been seen before. In fact, the OS is a browser-based system, so everything the Chromebook does basically takes place online with no desktop or local programs. To drive this could-based system forwards, Google is developing a whole range of online applications to enable its Chromebooks to do anything a regular PC can do ... and maybe even more!
