Hot on the heels of many current laptop-makers, MSI has unveiled a Windows 8 convertible ultrabook. The recently announced Slidebook S20 can be transformed from an ultrabook into a tablet by simply sliding the screen down onto the keyboard.

The Slidebook S20 has an 11.6" IPS touchscreen with 1920 x 1080 pixels, a latest-gen Intel Core i5 processor and storage is covered by an SSD. Connections include a mini HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports, an audio jack, an Ethernet port and a memory card slot. Note, however, that there's no optical drive.
Specifications

RAM 0 GB

The S20 is announced at $1,099 (£685) with a 64 GB SSD, which is pretty pricey for a laptop PC with no separate graphics card and relatively limited disk space—especially if it ends up selling at £1,099 in the UK! MSI hasn't yet confirmed an official release date for this convertible. We'll keep you updated as we find out more.
