The Surface RT has found a new cohort in the form of the 64 GB Surface Pro (Touch Cover keyboard not included). Unlike the Surface RT, which runs Windows RT and has a mobile processor (ARM architecture, Nvidia Tegra 3), the Surface Pro runs Windows 8 Pro and has an Intel Core i5 processor. It has 4 GB of RAM, but less battery life (5 hours, compared to 10 on the RT) and more weight (900 grammes, compared to the RT's 680 grammes.

The Surface Pro will come in two models: 64 GB for $899 and 128 GB for $999. The 9 February release date is for the United States and Canada. According to The Verge, there are 'additional markets to follow in the coming weeks and months'.
