The Yoga is a series of featherweight hybrid laptops with high-quality finishing and a display that folds back to transform into a tablet.

Lenovo presented the Yoga 13 at La Factory 2012 trade show in Paris. It's really a superb computer; it was one of the standout products at the show. Many were impressed with the finishing and the different positions it could be flipped into, to become a video player with the keyboard folded back, a notebook, a tablet, etc.

It comes in two sizes:
  •  the IdeaPad Yoga 13 (13" display) runs Windows 8 Pro with an Intel Core i7 processor
  • the IdeaPad Yoga 11 (11" display) runs Windows RT with a 1.4 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor (common on smartphones).

The Yoga 11 doesn't support regular Windows software. It's limited to the 3,000 or so apps currently available in Windows Store (a number which should grow fairly quickly); Word, Excel and PowerPoint, which come pre-installed; and, of course, all the biggest web browsing fare, including social networking apps.

Why use an ARM processor with Windows RT, you might ask? Especially for the 13 hours of battery life Lenovo has announced, compared to 8 hours on the Yoga 13 with the Intel CPU...

Unlike other keyboard-equipped tablets, the Yoga 13 has two USB ports and an HDMI output.
