The Seattle is a tough cookie, and is as useful an all-purpose bag as it is a specialist laptop carry case.

While the Port Lugano is a distinctly feminine offering, this is a much more blokey bag, with big square pockets, lots of velcro and a base made from tyres.

This bag has room for just about everything you'd ever need to carry:
laptop, power supply, mouse, keyboard (!), stationary ...
If it's big on the outside, then this is one of the largest bags we've seen inside too, with fourteen individual pockets and compartments, although none of these are on the sides, which may constitute something of a missed opportunity.

There's one pocket on the shoulder strap which is designed for storing your mobile phone but which was better suited to storing business cards in our experience.

After that, there's room for absolutely everything inside.

We took it away for the weekend and managed to stuff it with t-shirts, socks and jeans as well as papers and the all-important laptop; there's plenty of room for your accessories too.

You really can stuff everything you need inside, even if it does result in a fairly bulky package.

Nevertheless, the huge velcro straps mean that everything is nice and secure, so nothing will fall, even if you give the bag a good shake.

One aspect that we particularly liked was the fact you can customize the amount of protection you give to your laptop.

You can either slide your  computer straight into the bag, securing it with a simple velcro strap, or put it inside a separate padded sleeve which you can leave behind if you're not using it.

With the already substantial protection of the bag itself, and this extra pocket, it's hard to better shield your laptop against unexpected falls.

Despite being incredibly full, the bag doesn't look like it's bursting at the seams once you close it, unlike some.

All of the pockets are different, so there's no chance of you forgetting where you put a particular accessory.

In fact, it's very easy to fill the different compartments which have been designed very logically: there's room in the triangular pocket at the bottom for a power adaptor, then a pocket for the mouse in the space above, and then headphones over to the side and so on …

The whole thing is so big that it's easy to get carried away.  Why not take a real keyboard along with you if you're going to be typing all day?

There's not room for a huge model, but we found that the Logitech EX 100 slid into the space between the laptop and the outside of the bag nice and snugly.

It's all very impressive, if a little back-breaking when full.

Even the details are rock-solid
The tyre-clad base isn't pretty but it does the job

A huge velcro panel closes the whole thing
Your laptop is protected three times:
by the bag itself, by the extra protective sleeve, and by
the strap holding it in place
Pluses

-

Very solid

-

Stays up straight whether full or empty

-

14 separate compartments

-

Plenty of shock protection

-

Room for other things too--you could even take just this bag away for the weekend

Minuses

-

Very masculine styling

-

Very heavy, even with nothing inside

-

Why no side pockets?

-

Some other color options would be nice

This is a perfect bag for anybody who wants to keep their laptop in good shape. It's robust, with plenty of storage space, even if it is a little too clunky to look cool.
