Trolley Strap

On the back of this bag, we found a puzzling horizontal strap.
In fact, it's only obvious when you pop your laptop on top of a suitcase which allows you to attach it to the case's handles.
Very handy for travelling !

Finished in a classy black velour, the Port Lugano has a rather feminine aesthetic.
Its main strong point is that this means the laptop bag doesn't look too much like a laptop bag until you get up close and personal.
![]() Outside: black velour
|
That's because Port have decided to go for a very sober finish, with a simple zip along the top securing the laptop, which is also held in place by a separate velcro strap across the middle inside the back.
A pocket on either side amply holds A4 documents, and two handles allow the bag to be carried by hand.
If you need a little more support, you there's room to attach a simple shoulder strap which is reinforced with imitation leather.
The outside pockets close with magnetic pockets (on the front) and velcro (at the back).
Both are just about big enough to fit a small notebook or a diary.
![]() Inside: plenty of protection
|
On the underside, a PVC panel will protect the bag against scratches and puddles but isn't strong enough to protect the laptop from a fall.
It's a nice touch, but it's a shame that Port didn’t make it long enough to cover the whole of the base or stiff enough to allow the bag to be freestanding.
While we're being picky, it's important to note that, should you happen to turn your bag upside down, the laptop will stay nice and secure, but everything else will come tumbling out.
The small pockets on the inside are too small to fit most items, so we found our mouse and charger got tangled up in the bottom of the bag.
Not only did this make it hard to get them out with the bag upright, it also makes it easy for them to slide around if the bag isn't carried correctly as well as producing an unsightly bulge on the front of the bag.
Finishing is solid and dependable |

bottom of the bag |
Pluses
-
Classy black finish
-
Doesn't look too geeky
-
High quality finishing
-
Velcro strap to hold your laptop
Minuses
-
Doesn't remain upright on its own
-
PVC strip underneath isn't quite big enough
-
Not much shock protection, despite the cushioning
This is a pretty bag with feminine styling and a timeless look. Our only advice is that you'll need to travel light, as this bag's slim form means you can't fit much inside.
