Today's the day! DigitalVersus and Les Numériques are hosting our very own consumer technology show in Paris. "La Factory" opened at noon with 45 manufacturers showing off their finest products.
On the HTC stand, visitors can check out the firm's forthcoming 8S and 8X Windows Phone 8 handsets in all kinds of cool colours. When passing by the stand, we heard one user utter "I'm leaving Apple for Windows 8". Wow!
HTC's 8S and 8X were making a first public outing today ahead of their release in around a month's time, giving potential buyers the opportunity to get a feel for Windows Phone 8 and to handle the phones' polycarbonate bodies.
The HTC stand has been crowded all day with users trying to get a go with the firm's latest phones. The HTC rep was keen to point out features including the phones' designs, lightweight builds, front-facing cameras, screen resolutions and Beats Audio technology.
Student Olivier, 25 years old, told us "I think it's really not bad, it's light. The casing is nice. It'll be a new experience for me as I'm leaving Apple for Windows 8".
