The Kinect system, originally designed for use with the XBOX 360 console might soon also be available for your PC. We're not talking about X-rated titles this time: the first release is set to be a role-playing game.

Divine Souls, developed by the Korean studio GamePrix could be the first PC game to be controlled using Kinect, Microsoft's motion detection technology.

Designed to play like a console game, Divine Souls, a MMPORG, contains fights 'very similar to those in Tekken' and is set to use the Kinect sensor, even though Microsoft has not yet given its permission. The developers are planning to use an open-source driver that has been released allowing the Kinect system to work with PCs.

What remains to be seen is Microsoft's reaction to the arrival of paid-for software that relies on its system without a specific arrangement and without any money heading in Redmond's direction!
