LX8 Cordless Laser Mouse
The LX8 is a laser mouse for left- and right-handers that has a resolution of 1150 dpi. Compared to the MX1100 which comes with the Wave Pro set, the LX8 is 20 grams lighter, but it's also less comfortable to use.
Logitech suggests that the batteries should hold out for just eight hours, which is pretty pathetic. We're testing the mouse right now and we'll let you know soon if it's really that bad.

We have already tested the keyboard included in this kit--it's the same one found in the Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave Pro kit. The only difference is the inclusion of an inferior mouse.
The new LX8 mouse is designed for left- and right-handers but is otherwise fairly uninteresting. Unusually, it has a resolution of 1150 dpi (not the 1200 dpi we'd expect). That makes it 43% faster than the average 800 dpi mouse, which is a boon on larger monitors.
The Logitech drivers are always extremely useful and allow you to reassign the buttons and keys on both the keyboard and the mouse.

The Cordless Desktop Wave is a mid-range set. Because of its specific shape, it may not be suited to everybody. The "pro" version of the Wave set comes with a much better mouse.
